The number of cases of type two diabetes continues to soar in the UK
Cases of diabetes in the UK continue to soar with 4.3 million people said to be living with the illness and a further 2.4 million people at high risk of developing it. Diabetes is when people have too much sugar in their blood and can cause serious damage to your heart, eyes, feet and kidneys.
If you're concerned about the illness you can call your GP and ask for a blood test where your average blood glucose levels for the last two to three months can be checked. Diabetes UK says that prediabetes doesn't have any symptoms and if you notice any of the issues below there's a good chance you may already have developed type two diabetes.
