What is slugging? Slugging is a form of moisturising your skin, usually overnight, with a layer of occlusive moisturising cream or petroleum jelly, such as Vaseline.It's usually the last step of your skincare routine, as you'll slather this product on your face and leave it overnight, so it works into your skin while you sleep.

Yes, Vaseline is one of the top beauty products to use when slugging, according to beauty experts that is.The battle is on between Nivea and Vaseline – both good options for using to moisturise your skin in the evenings – but Vaseline has just pipped the classic cream to the post.
The beauty trend is not expensive either – a pot of Nivea Creme Moisturising Cream will cost you £5.99 from Boots, while the high street chemist also sells a tub of Vaseline, for £1.80.
