There was a flashpoint in the second-half as Bruno Fernandes avoided a second yellow card for a late lunge on Dominik Szoboszlai, having already been booked, but referee John Brooks opted against taking retrospective action. United were again gifted an avenue back into the game when Darwin Nunez carelessly gave possession away. The hosts capitalised with Marcus Rashford firing low before Amad Diallo won it in stoppage time.
