On offensive lineman Tegra Tshabola: “Tegra has shown that he can do it, he’s had a good offseason, the reports have come back good.” Day said that he’ll find himself in games if he can find consistency through this fall camp. Day said they’re at the scholarship limit, but didn’t specify where those scholarships are allocated.
On not hyping up freshman wide recevier Jeremiah Smith too much before he plays a game: “I’m gonna try!” Day then said that he’s done great things this offseason with great humility. “We’re all excited about it, but I don’t want to get too far out in front of this one.” On QB evals today: “I thought our guys looked more fit, I thought they looked stronger, they moved better.” He didn’t specify about any specific quarterback in that group, though.
