The Evan Neal saga is already exhausting, and much to the chagrin of Giants fans, it probably won’t conclude anytime soon.

New York Giants right tackle Evan Neal watches his teammates practice on Day 1 of 2024 training camp, Wednesday, July 24, 2024, in East Rutherford, N.J. Neal, who had offseason ankle surgery, is on the physically unable to perform list.

“Look, he’s working hard. He’s trying to do everything he can do to get better. He’s just not ready to go yet. When he is, he’ll be ready. I’m not going to get into all the particulars. He’s rehabbing. When he’s ready, he’ll be ready.” Daboll said that Neal would be working at tackle when he does eventually return, but would not reveal if he’d earn a starting job right away.

Is Daboll disappointed that Neal, the No. 7 pick in the 2020 draft and one of the worst draft busts in recent memory, has had such a brutal start to his career?
