Offering the chance to learn something new whilst enjoying plenty of fun exhibits and activities, it's an ideal choice for a summer holiday trip out with the family. Here in Liverpool, we're lucky enough to have so many incredible museums on our doorstep, all with a wide range of things to see and do.We've put together a guide of the best things to experience at Liverpool's museums this summer, with something to suit all ages and interests.
The Doctor Who Worlds of Wonder exhibit enables fans to engage with original artefacts and sets from the hit show, allowing them to discover the science that weaves its way through Doctor Who's history. Collections span over 10,000 years of Merseyside's history ranging from social and community history to archaeology and transport. The museum's Little Liverpool exhibit is perfect for kids, offering a hands-on fantasy world for children under the age of six to learn from.
The museum also offers guided Old Dock tours. Tours cost £8.50 for adults, £3 for children aged six to 17 and children aged five and under go free. Admission to the museum is free, donations are welcome.Opening times: Open Tuesday to Sunday and Bank Holidays from 10am to 6pm.
