The UFC 294 bout was stopped following the intervention of the doctor.
Dana White has revealed what Johnny Walker said to the doctor to get his fight called off following an illegal knee.
The light-heavyweight clash between Walker and Magomed Ankalaev at UFC 294 was hotting up until the latter performed an illegal move. Ankalaev struck Walker flush on the chin with a knee whilst he was in a downed position, prompting the referee to intervene.The doctor seemingly didn't like Walker's answer and subsequently told the referee to call off the 205lbs bout.He said:"The guy’s inexperienced. I think there’s a lot of things that probably happened. I guess he asked him 'where are you right now?' and his response was 'I’m in the desert'. He’s not wrong.
After the fight was stopped, Walker and Ankalaev went at each other before security intervened. White also made his way into the cage to calm the situation down.Asked about entering the Octagon, he said:"That didn’t look like it was going in the right direction. That’s all we needed."
