In Cedar Park, police and Texas game wardens continue to investigate the drowning of a 15-year-old. It happened at the Twin Lakes YMCA.
CEDAR PARK, Texas — Cedar Park police and the Texas Game Wardens continue to15-year-old having trouble staying above water
after jumping from a cliff with friends. A Williamson County Sheriff's Office dive team later recovered his body after an hourslong search. The Twin Lakes YMCA said lifeguards are only on duty when the YMCA has camp events going on, and that those participants always have life jackets. Officials always recommend going to a place to swim that has lifeguards.A place in Central Texas where they do have lifeguards on duty is Barton Springs Pool where Mark St. Clair enjoyed the day Monday with his three kids. He said he likes the added safety measures.
"We recommend if you are going to be on one of those lakes to obviously wear a life jacket, swim with a buddy, and stay near the shore," Krienke said.Meanwhile, Cedar Park police have not released the identity of the 15-year-old.
