When activated, incoming calls from phone numbers that are not part of a user’s contact list will be silenced, preventing it from making the device ring or vibrate.
To enable the feature, simply navigate to the settings menu and tap on “Privacy”, then scroll all the way down and press the “Calls” button, after which users will be able to turn the feature on.
Many WhatsApp users have taken to Twitter to report that they have been receiving suspicious calls from unknown international numbers on the messaging app, making this feature a welcome addition.
