When strikes are taking place in November and December and how trains are affected

After RMT train strikes were called off hours before they were due to start earlier this month, a fresh round of industrial action is unfolding across the country this week ⤵️

Its members working for Transport for Wales are voting on whether to accept a pay offer, with the referendum closing on Tuesday. On Wednesday 16 November, nearly 92 per cent of RMT members who voted to renew a mandate for industrial action for a further six months voted in favour., with no further strikes announced. However, alternative disruption is expected across rail networks this week and into December.

According to Network Rail, the TVSC at Didcot Parkway “plays a critical role in the safe and reliable running of trains between London Paddington and Bristol Temple Meads, Westbury, South Wales and Cheltenham and Gloucester, meaning this strike action will particularly affect passengers in the South West, West of England, Oxfordshire, Thames Valley and the Cotswolds.
