The dry weather may not last long
Rain is expected to hit the region later this week, as the UK recorded its hottest day of 2023 so far. According to the Met Office, Thursday was provisionally the hottest day of the year so far, with 32.6C recorded in Wisley, Surrey.
Despite the soaring temperatures, which are expected to remain in the high 20s until Sunday , there is a chance of showers hitting the region before the end of the week.According to the Met Office forecast, there is a chance of showers on Sunday afternoon, from around 4pm. Although temperatures will remain a warm 26C, there could possibly be some drizzle throughout the afternoon and into the evening.
