There are a number of different weather warnings and flood warning in place across the region due to Storm Babet
Storm Babet is set to bring widespread disruption across Yorkshire in the coming days with heavy rainfall and strong winds posing a 'danger to life'.
Huddersfield Huddersfield is under an amber warning for rain issued by the Met Office which lasts from 12 noon on Friday until 6am on Saturday. Local forecasts show that heavy rain is expected to start at around 4am on Friday and will last until 1am on Saturday. Temperatures are also set to dip to around 10C by the afternoon with gusts reaching 38mph at around 11am. Some more heavy spells of rain are possible in the early hours of Saturday but these are expected to peter out.
A wider yellow warning for rain is in effect from midnight tonight until 6am on Saturday. The warning said that a further spell of persistent and at times heavy rain could lead to some disruption from early Friday through to early Saturday. Winds are set to reach peak gusts of around 35mph between 10am and noon and Friday. A wider yellow warning for rain is also in effect from midnight tonight until 6am on Saturday.
