The Summer Solstice signals the official start of summer, and it's almost here
The Summer Solstice is celebrated across many cultures, and marks the official beginning of the summer season.
Thousands of people across the world get up early to welcome the day, as well as visiting an idyllic spot to watch the sun go down at the end of the longest day of the year. Many holidays and festivals take place around the event.
When does the Summer Solstice happen? Summer Solstice occurs when the planet's geographical pole is most greatly inclined towards the sun.
