The average pint of Guinness was found to be £1.01 cheaper in one area than anywhere else
Comparing the cost of a pint at Wetherspoon and Greene King pubs up and down the country, research carried out by The Winners Enclosure has confirmed just how much a Guinness is likely to set punters back in 35 different towns and cities across England.
Birkenhead ranked in fourth place as the average Guinness pint costs just £3.88. However, if you're in Liverpool, the price rises by a whole £1.01.
