The corporation's construction teams began pouring more than 1,500 cubic yards of concrete the week of May 14 at the Ohio One construction site in Licking County. The White House said Intel has been awarded $8.5 billion in funding from the federal government.
In February, Intel said the pace of the expansion would depend on funding from the CHIPS Act and other business conditions. McDonald said the federal investment helps ensure that chips used by Ohioans every single day are made on American soil.
