“His behavior and his rhetoric of late have been problematic to say the least and also wholly inconsistent with actual facts,” said one of senior administration officials, like others granted anonymity to speak freely about a sensitive issue. Another used the term “crazy” to describe Netanyahu’s latest antics.
. “I’m not saying that it’s all been smooth in every single instance, including in recent days,” he said, but “what we’re focused on is making sure, again, that they have what they need. And we believe we’re fully capable of doing that with Prime Minister Netanyahu and with this government.”
