However, there is a method to whiten socks using natural ingredients that you may already have at home. According to one contributor on Facebook, there's a homemade solution that can guarantee white socks, reports the Express. In a bowl, they combine 500ml of hot boiled water, one tablespoon of baking soda, a tablespoon of detergent - any kind will do - and white vinegar. They emphasised that adding vinegar is "essential" for the cleaning solution to work.
They claimed this mixture will "remove all dirt without any effort" - all you need to do is let the socks soak for at least three hours.
