Dan Friedkin is said to have thrown his hat into the ring to become the next owner of Everton
Another jockey has entered the race for control of Everton as current owner Farhad Moshiri looks to complete a new deal following the collapsed agreement with US group 777 Partners.
London-based lender Leadenhall Capital led the claims that 777 Partners misled lenders by securing huge loans against assets already pledged in other agreements, leading to the complete collapse of the Everton deal, which in turn has meant a whole host of parties have shown interest in jumping in their seat while it's still warm.
However, another party that is said to hold interest is that of another Texan billionaire in the form of Dan Friedkin, who is the president and owner of Serie A giants Roma, for whom he paid £591million in 2020 for 96% of the club. Friedkin also owns Gulf States Toyota, a company based out of Houston that holds exclusive rights to distribute Toyota vehicles in Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Oklahoma.
