The rising star was a late bloomer and has only been part of the national set up for four years
Adam Peaty's swimming triumphs have made him a celebrity and a household name - and Oliver Morgan could well follow. Oliver - known as Ollie - didn't take swimming seriously until he was 18 but has more than earned his place in the star-studded Team GB Olympic swimming team.
The rising star, from Bishop's Castle in Shropshire, first began swimming competitively at the age of 11. However heading to university in Birmingham - paving the way for him to make a splash in the world of international sport.As his Team GB profile, notes, since 2023, he "has only fuelled his experience and passion, helping Britain to a 4x50m medley relay silver medal at the European Short Course Swimming Championships.
And he's a talented sportsman in and out of the pool. Before committing to swimming, he competed in the domestic Mountain Bike Marathon series, winning 50km gold in 2019. He now finds himself on the Team GB Olympic swimming team alongside the likes of Adam Peaty, Tom Dean, Anna Hopkin, Duncan Scott and Freya Colbert.
