Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? host Jeremy Clarkson faced an awkward moment at the end of tonight's episode after a contestant let a long-running secret 'out the bag.' As the buzzer sounded to signal the ITV game show had run out of time, contestant Maria asked the presenter if it was time for her to go and get changed.
Clarkson played along and admitted that viewers are meant to think she’d go home and return next time, but he’d actually see her in about an hour. The buzzer sounds when the show has run out of time, which can often be as a contestant is partway through their turn to answer questions, with a chance of winning the jackpot.
