She’s been a Bachelorette, hosted FBoy Island and is back on The Masked Singer, but there’s one show she’s waiting for.
When influencer Abbie Chatfield quit her Hit Network radio show last month to focus on her television work and podcast, her fellow“Chrissie reassured me that quitting radio won’t be the end of my career or the end of my life,” says Chatfield. “People forget that Chrissie started out on. She’s probably the only person in media who had a similar career start and trajectory to me.“She’s a mentor of mine.
From her fellow panellist Mel B, she also learnt something of fame before the digital era. “Mel and I were speaking about Britney Spears,” she says. “It must have been so frustrating in the early 2000s, previous to social media, having things written about you where you couldn’t just post a response. Now, if something gets posted about me that’s a lie, I just post, ‘That was a lie!’ Back then, you had to just cop it.
