But it’s the first time they’ve done it and practiced on fields that weren’t intended for football. But this season could also go very differently. It’s possible Belichick is stretching Matt Patricia too thin with both play-calling and offensive-line duties. That this offensive transformation is less than successful. That the Patriots struggle to a losing record. All of that will be sorted out in the coming months.
