A look at why American Airlines isn't flying at Dallas Love Field.
An American Airlines plane is seen at the gate at Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport, Friday, July 19, 2024 in Baltimore.after the merger of U.S. Airways and American Airlines was challenged. American had been operating multiple flights a day at Love Field up until June 2009, according to Cirium.
Southwest CEO Bob Jordan has said the air carrier intends to maintain its presence at Love Field, despite the Wright Amendment deadline arriving in a few months. That leaves room for only a few other airlines to utilize the remaining gates at Love Field, which are occupied by Alaska Airlines and Delta Air Lines.By 2025, things could change as Southwest expands beyond its space at Love Field.
A New Jersey man who said he ate around 10 marijuana edibles faces charges for alleged trying to open the plane doors multiple times on an American Airlines flight last month, officials say. Eric Gapco's alleged "life-threatening behavior" caused the plane, bound for Dallas, to divert to Utah., Aviation Reporter.
