Ryan Gosling showed up to the 2024 Oscars accompanied by three close family members: his mom, his sister, and his stepdad. But once again on this year’s award circuit, we did not get an appearance from his wife, Eva Mendes.Despite our disappointment, it’s really no surprise that Mendes was not part of the red-carpet family gathering, as she and Gosling have walked only one red carpet together: in 2012, when they attended the premiere of their film The Place Beyond the Pines.
“It was so fun because they came to the dress rehearsal the day before and so they were in the front row,” he said. “They gave me some tips and some notes, all great notes,” he continued. “They are such a huge part of this for me... it was my girls’ interest in Barbie and disinterest in Ken that got me into this in the first place. It was beautiful to have them there at the end.”Last year, Mendes explained why she doesn’t accompany her husband to his grand Hollywood events anymore.
