Ipswich Town vs Everton in the Premier League kick off delayed
Everton’s game at Ipswich Town has been delayed due to IT issues. The match was due to start at 3pm but an announcement by the home club at 2.50pm confirmed that the start would be pushed back to 3.15pm. The explanation was given as IT issues that were yet to be resolved when the message was relayed to supporters inside the stadium. At the same time, the official social media channels of Ipswich said the club was working to resolve issues with the turnstiles that were impacting supporters.
The club said: “We are aware of an issue with the turnstiles, impacting supporters' entry to Portman Road ahead of this afternoon's game. We ask for your patience as we work on a solution.” Following the announcement Everton's players returned to the pitch to resume their warm-up having initially made their way down the tunnel as they prepared for the kick-off . A spokesman for the Premier League later confirmed the delay was due to issues at the turnstiles.
