Why is the battle of the sexes raging harder than ever, asks Zoe Strimpel
On the cusp of 2010, a decade ago today, I had just finished writing my first book – a tome exploring men’s views of women and relationships. It took a non-judgmental, fairly apolitical view of men’s motives, actions and feelings in the sphere of romance and sex. Instead of being written with a critical spirit, it was written out of a sense of friendship, and infused with sexual optimism. After all, my peers and I were pretty sure that the battle of the sexes was, or would soon be, obsolete.
