A royal editor has explained the details surrounding the planning of the Queen's ceremonial procession

Many people may be questioning why the Queen's procession will take place at exactly 2.22pm. But there is a logical reason for it, a royal editor explained. Appearing on the ITV show Lorraine, Russel Myers explained the details of the late monarch's ceremonial procession.

Following this event, the Queen's lying-in-state will officially begin and members of the public will be able to visit the coffin and pay their respects at Westminster Hall. This will go on until the day of the Queen's funeral on Monday, September 19.

At 6pm, the Queen will depart Scotland for the last time and her coffin will be moved to London.
