Connolly’s husband, Raymond Connolly, watched from the public gallery at Northampton Crown Court as she pleaded guilty on Monday to publishing threatening or abusive material intending to stir up racial hatred The wife of a Conservative Party councillor Lucy Connolly has pleaded guilty to publishing a social media post stirring up racial hatred against asylum seekers.
Connolly, a 41-year-old childminder, later apologised for acting on “false and malicious” information and appeared after to have deleted her X account. Connolly, of Parkfield Avenue, Northampton, entered her guilty plea via a video-link to HMP Peterborough.
