Wigan Warriors' 'underdog DNA' stretches beyond rugby league

Winning is not just expected in the area, with a borough population of around 330,000, it is almost a birthright. Regardless if it is inand Muhammad Mokaev, athletics with Keely Hodgkinson, netball with Karen Atkinson and Sara Francis-Bayman, or rugby with Tomkins, sporting excellence is ingrained deep.
“When recruiting junior rugby players, we don’t just look for the young player who scores the tries,” Radlinksi explains. “We look for the player who drops the ball to see what his very next action is. Does he go into his shell or does he put his hand up to make up for his error? Who is the kid who chases the lost cause?”
