The fire is spreading quickly due to strong winds, Protothema reports, with fire service helicopters continuing to battle the blaze with water dumps amid fears it could spread out of control to residential areas. More than a dozen firefighting aircraft and almost 400 firefighters worked to get the fire under control yesterday.
