Wilfried Gnonto is expected to start the season with Leeds United despite links to a move away from Elland Road this summer., senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke revealed that deals for both Gnonto and Crysencio Summerville will prove complicated and lengthy, with no imminent move lined up.
Gnonto, 20, has been strongly linked with a transfer for over 12 months and went on strike this time last year to engineer a move. Gnonto has been a long-term target at Goodison Park after they failed to sign him last summer, with Sean Dyche still looking to improve in the wide areas.Following the arrival of Jesper Lindstrom, the club has now turned their attention to Leeds’ star, but no progress has been made on the deal yet.Gnonto joined Leeds from FC Zurich in 2022 in a deal worth £3.8million, and he has since gone on to make 72 appearances for the club.
However, since their relegation from the Premier League in 2023, the winger has been heavily linked with a move away from the club.
