Will Ferrell is expected to attend Leeds United vs Burnley at Elland Road
Hollywood superstar Will Ferrell is expected to attend his first Leeds United match since becoming a minority shareholder today. The 57-year-old is due to be in attendance at Elland Road for Saturday’s lunchtime clash with Burnley and could be sat with Paraag Marathe in the directors’ box.
Since the summer of last year, 49ers Enterprises has owned the club after completing a £170m buyout transaction. Russell Crowe, another actor, has an interest in Leeds already, having 'considered' purchasing the team in 2015 before formally investing with 49ers too. He is a part-owner of Los Angeles FC, a Major League Soccer team, and an avid sports lover. Ferrell saw a game in February 2023 featuring Wrexham, who are owned by actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney.
