Fortnite is bringing back OG Season 2, complete with classic weapons, locations, and a new OG Pass. However, fans are also hoping for the return of the original Season 2 Battle Pass, which featured iconic skins and emotes. While Epic Games has not officially confirmed the return of the original Battle Pass, some community members believe it's possible based on leaked images and the company's history of bringing back previous season content.
Our team of gaming experts spends hours testing and reviewing the latest games to ensure you're reading the most comprehensive guide possible. Rest assured, all imagery and advice is unique and original. Fortnite OG Season 2 is back! For the first time in more than six years, players can drop into the original map with Tilted Towers. Epic Games has brought back many classic weapons and locations, along with a new OG Pass.
However, many Fortnite players believe that the game developer will bring back the original Season 2 Battle Pass as well.Back in Fortnite Season 2, Epic Games released the first Battle Pass. This progression system was a game-changer, as it introduced numerous rewards for only 950 V-Bucks. The pass included many fantastic items, from Black Knight to Sparkle Specialist. Besides skins, owners of the pass were also able to unlock a couple of iconic emotes, such as The Worm. With the return of OG Season 2 on January 31, many members of the community believe that Epic will bring back the original Battle Pass as well. This is mostly based on a teaser image, which shows Sparkle Specialist right after the “it’s all back” message. Furthermore, some players still think that Season 1 cosmetics should have never returned. To start off, it’s important to clarify that Season 1 items have never been exclusive. From the very first Battle Pass, Epic Games clarified that the included cosmetics are exclusive. However, the first Fortnite season did not have a Battle Pass. Instead, it had a so-called Season Shop, which was never meant to be exclusive. Back in the summer of 2024, the company made seasonal passes non-exclusive. Starting with Chapter 5 – Season 3, items from the passes may come to the Item Shop in the future. While this is a positive change for new players, it also fuels the desire for a return of the OG Season 2 Battle Pass. One argument brought forward by the community is the exclusivity of the Black Knight skin. The skin was awarded as a prize in the Boogiedown contest, which took place two months after the season ended. However, this doesn’t necessarily indicate that Epic will bring back the entire Battle Pass. This rumor is purely fan speculation and is unlikely to come to fruition.
