While some fans were worried the OG Disney imagining would be butchered by its modern take, social media was pretty high in its praise of the shorter clip. ‘They just debuted new Aladdin footage at the KCAs and it actually looks really good!’ one punter mused on Twitter. ‘Much more excited now than I was before. Marketing is starting to step it up.’
Another was pretty keen on the whole thing as they added: ‘That new Aladdin footage is the best Disney has showed off so far.’Okay, then. When the first glimpse of Will’s Genie was unveiled earlier this year, fans of the classic were a little worried and controversy surrounded the character as fans complained on Twitter that he wasn’t ‘blue enough.’However, he has since hit back at the remarks, reassuring everyone that there is a lot of CGI in the movie.
