The Royal Easter Sunday service traditionally takes place in St George's Chapel and is usually led inside by the most senior member of the family who arrives last
The Easter Sunday church service is one of the rare occasions the Royal Family is seen out in force and this Sunday they are set to be led by King Charles for the first time as they celebrate the religious weekend.
In the past, this has been the late Queen Elizabeth II and images from previous Easter services show her relatives lining up outside the chapel waiting to greet her majesty before following her lead inside. Kate was pregnant with Prince Louis at the time. The family were forced to arrive after the service started and had to quietly enter the chapel after the others.
On Thursday the King kicked off the Easter celebrations by attending his first Royal Maundy service where he distributed commemorative coins to 74 men and 74 women who have made a difference to their communities. Charles III arrived at York Minster with the Queen Consort to the applause of hundreds of people who had lined the streets of the city in anticipation for the royal's arrival.
