Police are investigating video posted on social media of multiple people pulling down the statue of controversial colonial figure William Crowther in central Hobart.'What goes around': Former premier's statue chopped down in the night A Hobart councillor had posted images on Tuesday afternoon of smaller cuts made to the legs of the statue, and had urged the council to increase security for the following night, when it was eventually toppled."Police are continuing to investigate the matter," the statement reads.The statue was cut down just hours before the Tasmanian Civil and Administrative Tribunal was due to hand down its decision on an appeal against its removal.
