Brown said that President Joe Biden should step down to allow her to show how she would be as president prior to the election, to avoid making her identity her central campaign pitch, and to embrace her unclear ideological tilt. Brown also mentioned his concerns about Harris, prior to Biden’s disastrous June debate that served as the catalyst for Democrats replacing him. He worried the vice president had “the Hillary syndrome,” referring to former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s apparent likability problems, adding he was concerned “people don’t like her” and that it would not be something that could be fixed.
