A council is proposing a £100 fine to tackle anti-social behaviour in Salisbury.
If brought in, anyone found to be in breach of the new order could be issued with a Fixed Penalty Notice of £100
Wiltshire Council has proposed a new Public Spaces Protection Order for Salisbury, to prevent anti-social behaviour in the city.People are asked to provide feedback to the council during the order's consultation period until 30 October. The first part of the PSPO relates to the use of catapults, slingshots and similar items which could cause harm or damage.The second part of the proposed order seeks to address street drinking in the city centre, granting police powers to prohibit the drinking of alcohol or having open containers of alcohol in public places.
