Blackburn Christmas campaign gives shoppers chance to win free money and presents
A major new campaign to encourage Christmas shoppers to spend time and money in Blackburn and Darwen has been launched. It offers free events and prizes to visitors to the two town centres.
The top award includes vouchers for Christmas shopping at The Mall, a Christmas Dinner from Blackburn or Darwen Market, tickets to the panto at King George’s Hall, a family ticket for Planet Ice and a trip to see Santa Claus at Darwen Library Theatre.
“This year our residents and businesses need support more than ever so we’ve worked really hard to develop this campaign filled with free events and giveaways.
There’ll also be free family fun at Blackburn market and library and the Festival of Light on Saturday December 17. There’ll be a free family event each Saturday at Darwen Market, brass bands, carol singing and the return of the character Christmas post box to the town.
