Gary Neville has questioned how much influence Sir Jim Ratcliffe will have on Manchester United, should he come in as a minority shareholder.
Ratcliffe will reportedly take charge of the footballing operations at the club, having gained experience as owner of French side OGC Nice. I don’t know how it can change and I don’t know how it will change even if Jim Ratcliffe comes in, as brilliant a businessman as he is, as passionate about sport as he is. “The football department is only one part of a football club, it’s got loads of other parts to it. You’ve got shareholders in New York who want money, you’ve got the Glazer family who will still want money.
