“We visited many colorful cities on our clockwise journey of 16 days around the interior of the country and would have stayed longer if given the chance. We learned the history, shopped the markets, stayed in riads — palaces turned into hotels inside the walled cities — visited a leather tanning factory and fed monkeys in the wild.”“We had a private driver, which allowed us more leeway on a daily basis.
