Lisa Bates’ beloved cat Beaker went from a healthy cat to having to be put down within the space of 24 hours after becoming unwell earlier this week.

“After that I took him to the vets and we had to put him to sleep after he had a seizure. The vet had told us he had digested toxins.Lisa said she had spoken to other neighbours about what had happened and received reports of other pets being unwell in the nearby area.“I can’t prove it but it has been suggested to me that people have been putting poison down for rats and cats and dogs have been over for it.”It was claimed that three cats and two dogs were poisoned.
