The fun-filled event took place at Wishaw Old Parish Church Hall with members of North Lanarkshire Schools Pipe Band providing the entertainment.
YM chair Mary Jean Ferguson said: “We were delighted with how many families turned out on the day; it went amazingly well.Get all the news from your area – as well as features, entertainment, sport and the latest on Lanarkshire ’s recovery from the coronavirus pandemic – straight to your fingertips, 24/7.
“We had planned to have a town hall meeting after the event but it was so busy so we decided to organise another event at our new base in Quarry Street on July 6. I think we tried to do too much so this has probably worked out better.” Back in 2022, the YM applied to North Lanarkshire Council seeking permission to alter the listed building in order to expand its services to the community.
