The smash happened near the busy pier in Beaumaris on Anglesey in North Wales
An eyewitness has described how people desperately tried to save the lives of three who died in a 'horrific' crash at a beach resort in North Wales.
The Beaumaris resident was in a hotel overlooking the scene when she heard the bang, she told the PA news agency. She said she watched 'people trying very, very hard to do CPR'.The witness said: "It was just awful, the ambulance took ages to get here and when the police and the vehicles eventually came… there was nothing they could do once they got here.
She added: "The town is absolutely full of tourists and people walk down that street. It’s just a beautiful, beautiful place." "Our efforts to establish the full circumstances of this incident remain ongoing." Rhun ap Iorwerth, leader of Plaid Cymru, said in a statement on social media site X: "This is devastating news and my condolences are with those involved and their loved ones.
