The league fined Sky forward Angel Reese $1,000 for failing to make herself available to media after Saturday's game.

ByLive streaming newscasts, breaking news, weather & original, local programming.No. 1 WNBA draft pick Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever secured their first home win and second of the season with a 71-70 victory over the Chicago Sky and fellow rookie star Angel Reese on Saturday at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

The WNBA on Sunday upgraded Chicago Sky guard Chennedy Carter's foul against Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark to a flagrant-1 violation after reviewing the play. The league office may reclassify a flagrant foul or upgrade a foul to a flagrant one that isn't called during the game. In addition, the league may impose a fine or suspend a player for a flagrant foul. The WNBA didn't do either to Carter."It is what it is," Clark said. "I feel like I'm just at the point where you accept it and don't retaliate. ... I'm trying not to let it bother me.

Later Saturday, in addressing the league in a post on X, Sides called Carter's foul on Clark "unacceptable" and wrote, "When will the consistent complaints be heard?!? Something has to be done!" Saturday's contest served as both teams' first game in the Commissioner's Cup, the WNBA's in-season tournament.

Clark became the first WNBA rookie to record 150 points, 50 rebounds and 50 assists in a 10-game span.
