Gary O’Neil has played down speculation around Mario Lemina’s future as he insists the midfielder is a ‘huge part’ of Wolves’ plans.
The 29-year-old, who joined the club in January, has been a key figure in Wolves’ engine room since making the £9million switch from Nice.
The head coach said: “Mario is a huge part of what we are going to do this season. I haven’t heard anything about it. Mario has been extremely focused this week, he was excellent against Manchester United on Monday and I am sure he will be excellent again .” Centre-back has been a key area for Wolves following Nathan Collins’ exit, with Max Kilman, Craig Dawson and Toti Gomes the only senior options.
