Liverpool take on Wolves at Molineux on Saturday, so we simulated the clash to predict what could happen
Liverpool will be looking to make it four wins on the bounce across all competitions with three points against Wolves on Saturday afternoon. Bar the 1-0 loss to Nottingham Forest a few weeks ago, Liverpool have had a fantastic start to the season, winning six of their seven games across all competitions. Most recently, the Reds beat West Ham United 5-1 in the Carabao Cup, with Diogo Jota and Cody Gakpo both bagging braces.
Liverpool came close to the perfect start at Molineux when Luis Diaz cut in from the left and sent a powerful shot towards goal, but his long-distance strike was pushed onto the post to deny the Colombian. Chances kept coming for the Reds as Sam Johnstone was on top form, but 24 minutes in, the Reds finally broke the deadlock. As Diaz advanced down the left, the winger cut inside before playing a smart reverse pass to Dominik Szoboszlai in space.
