Young woman kills herself after being catfished by someone pretending to be Home and Away actor
A WOMAN killed herself after being duped by a cruel catfisher posing as Home and Away actor Lincoln Lewis.
Emma, vulnerable after a bad relationship, quickly became the victim of “catfishing”, where someone uses an online alias to trick others into a phoney relationship. She was cruelly told to “kill urself” and that nobody would support her in dealing with her depression. The ABC reports that Emma’s sister once found her crying under the covers of her blanket while on the phone to a stranger.
