US citizen Aimee Betro, 45, was flown into Gatwick Airport this afternoon by specialist officers from the National Crime Agency.

She was transported to the West Midlands where she is also charged with possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence. She is also being charged in relation to the alleged importation of ammunition into the UK.
West Midlands Police have been working with the Crown Prosecution Service, Derbyshire Constabulary and the NCA to extradite Betro since her arrest. Ben Samples, deputy chief crown prosecutor for the CPS in the West Midlands, said: ‘The CPS has authorised West Midlands Police to charge Aimee Betro with conspiracy to murder a Birmingham resident.
