The pedestrian remains in hospital
A 72-year-old woman was rushed to hospital with serious injuries after a Mercedes ploughed into her next to a retail park.
The victim, who was a pedestrian, still remains in hospital to be treated for her injuries. The driver of the silver Mercedes stopped at the scene and is assisting with police enquiries. The road remained closed for a number of hours after the crash, with Cheshire Constabulary now appealing for witnesses as they continue with investigations.
